Thanks for the program! I used it since 0.9.2 but I never knew the meaning of decks until few days ago.

    I have suggestions:

    1. Make an option to auto-open the last opened file. Almost everytime I open the program to use the same file.

    2. Category tree should be shown by default or depending on the last time.

    Again, thank you!

    Hi Riad,
    Simon

I really like the software, and have made contributions to further development. I use it for all of my classes at Oxford College of Emory University. The only problem I have with the software so far is I can’t find a list of hotheys or shortcut keys for it. Could this be posted or emailed to me? James3dean@gmail.com

    Keep up the good work!
    Thanks,

    James Dean

Thanks a lot for your feedback guys.

@James Dean: I’ll look into adding a shortcuts page in the wiki.

    Hi Riad,

thank you very much for this great program. I have been using it to learn Estonian for quite a while and I am really appreciative of your work. I am sorry I cannot make a donation right now but I am considering donating or contributing a Spanish translation in the future.

I don’t know if this is the right place to report a bug. I just updated to version 1.2.2 and the chart that appears after each learning session seems to forget wrong answers from the first (unlearned) batch. It say’s something like “100% right” when I actually failed some of these words.

Thanks again and… viel Erfolg weiter!

  6. rdjemili Says:

Juanma: That’s actually a feature :-) I found it frustrating to have cards that I’ve never known show up as “failed” in the summary. So I changed it so that only cards that were not unlearned can be failed. I’m open to changing this again if enough users liked the previous behavior better.

    Hi Riad and others,
jMemorize is really fantastic; congrats to you and all the people who worked and took part in this project.
Keep up the great work and thanks.

I like this new feature very much. Be sure to keep it ;-)
    Great program, either way!
    Thank you

Really great job but what happened to jMemorize? Coarsely speaking, it’s long time since the time of last release. keep it coming on.
    Thanks ever so much

I always need some time off after having released a new version. Don’t worry though: work on the next version is already ramping up again!

  11. chernobyl Says:

Hi, great program indeed! I just got 1.2.2, and the new formatting functionality is really convenient (esp. superscript and subscript for mathematical formulas). I just noticed a minor glitch: when copying and pasting text between cards, or within the same card, all the formatting seems to be lost. Maybe something that can be fixed in the next version?

  12. James Says:

I also find the superscript and subscript extremely useful. Really happy to hear that work on the next version is proceeding - as someone who uses this software for sometimes up to three hours a day, any new updates are an extremely exciting event!

The ability to embed images would be wonderful, weren’t there plans for this function?

  13. rdjemili Says:

@chernobyl: I’ve created a feature tracker entry for preserving the text format when copying/pasting.

@James: I hope to get image support done for the next version, but I can’t really promise it. It’s pretty much on top of my todo list though.

    Thanks for your feedback guys.

    Hi Riad!

I just want to thank you for the incredibly useful and practical piece of software. It’s well designed, open source, and the best flash cards solution I know of.

That said, the one feature jMemorize is in desperate need of is image support. For me, image support is a feature I’d be glad to pay for, and I expect other users would be glad to pay for it as well. I know you’re working on it, and I can’t wait for it to come out.

If you’d be willing to open up an escrow account, I wouldn’t hesitate to throw in $25 or $50 towards image support.

  15. rdjemili Says:

@wgross: Thanks for your offer. I’m working on image support, but I currently don’t have a lot of free time, so it will take some more time. Meanwhile feel free to donate for the jMemorize versions that I’ve done so far. ;-)

  16. wgross Says:

    Done.

    Thanks!
