Just a minor update
jMemorize got over 2100 downloads in March! That’s great! I also just wanted to mention, that I’m currently finishing up on the next release.. or at least I’ll do that once SourceForge fixes their current CVS problems and lets me access the repository again.

Hello, I really liked the simplicity of JMemorize. There are two things I would really like to do with it, but I’m not sure how:
1) I have a set of cards in a lesson, and I would like to enter some cards into several categories at once. Is this possible without copying the cards? I don’t want to copy, because maintaining several identical cards can quickly become a problem. If you think of the Periodic Table of Elements, you quickly see that there are several catogories that apply to the same element, and all of them are valid ways of describing the element.
2) I would like to enter Arabic text. What do I need to do that?
3) Is there a .po file available for translation?
Cheers,
Haakon

Hello Haakon,
1) this has already been request some times, but alas there is currently no way to assign a card to multiple categories.
2) Well, jMemorize understand Unicode and as such can handle all kind of inputs. How to provide the input is up to you specific operating system. For example in Windows XP you could change your input keyboard layout by using the “Regional and Language Options”.
3) Please see the FAQ on the instructions on how to do translations for jMemorize.
Thanks for your feedback! Don’t hesitate to ask if you have any more questions.
Cheers,
Riad
